Brown seaweed called Fucus vesiculosus is taken out of the chilly Atlantic Ocean waters. Bladderwrack can be identified by the thalli, or air-filled "bladders," that hold it afloat. The seaweed is valued for its nutritional benefits and has a naturally high iodine concentration. You can add bladderwrack to soups, stocks, and broths, or you can even steep it in tea.
Precautions
Seaweeds have a lot of iodine in them by nature. The sea is used to gather this product. shell pieces on occasion possible. If you have a fish or shellfish allergy, consuming this product could result in a serious or even fatal reaction. Before using herbal products, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking any drugs, we advise you to speak with a trained healthcare professional.
