Keeping wounds clean to promote healing, antimicrobial, bacteriostatic (does not destroy bacteria, but contains them), Anti-inflammatory, healing of wounds, Anti-oxidant, Oils made from calendula flowers can be used to make lotions, creams, and balms. They provide a pleasant calendula tea infusion and brighten herbal tea mixes.

Precautions
Calendula should be used with caution if you have allergies to other plants in the Asteraceae family, such as feverfew, chamomile, or species of Echinacea. This is because Asteraceae plants frequently cause allergic cross-reactivity. Before using herbal products, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking any drugs, we advise you to speak with a trained healthcare professional.
