Chaparral is prescribed for gastrointestinal issues including cramps and gas, respiratory issues like colds and infections, continuing chronic skin ailments like acne, rheumatism, and diabetes. Additionally, it has been marketed as a blood purifier, a weight loss aid, and for its antioxidant properties. These uses have not been supported by clinical trials.
