Horny goat weed contains chemicals which might help increase blood flow and improve sexual function. It also contains phytoestrogens, chemicals that act somewhat like the female hormone estrogen. This might reduce bone loss in postmenopausal women.  Referred to as yin yang huo in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), epimedium leaf has been used for centuries for its beneficial properties. Also called horny goat weed, it is typically prepared as an infusion or extract.
