Yarrow : Achillea Millefolium
SOLD BY THE OZ
A perennial herb, yarrow has clusters of small, fragrant white to pink blooms and feather-like leaves. It grows as a common weed in fields, mountains, and gardens as well as next to roads and along fields. Traditional Western herbalism has traditionally used Achillea millefolium for its beneficial benefits. To make skin care products and herbal tea mixes, dried yarrow leaf and blossom are blended. You can make tinctures using the leaf and bloom of our organic yarrow.
Yarrow is a perennial flower that grows in Europe and Asia but is also popular in North America. Its leaves, which are delicate and heavily segmented and have a distinctive look that is almost feather-like, are also known as milfoil. In the summer, yarrow produces stalks that reach a height is reliant on seasonal precipitation. These stalks may barely grow a foot or two during dry years, saving energy in the roots. On top of the stalks, groups of tiny white flowers bloom, giving off a distinct and recognizable scent.
