Yellow Dock : Rumex Crispus
SOLD BY THE OZ
Yellow dock is sometimes known as curly dock because of the edges of its long, thin leaves. Rumex crispus is a plant with thick, fleshy, yellow roots that has been used for its health-promoting properties in traditional herbal remedies. Yellow dock root can be extracted, decocted as tea, prepared into a syrup, and then infused in oil for topical treatment.
Multiple clusters of three-winged flower are produced by curled dock. Its seeds are green in the summer, but as they grow, they turn a rich crimson color. Under the bark, the yellow dock root exhibits a vibrant yellow color. After the seeds have started to turn red in the late summer, the root is collected.
